When intellect from spirit grace is served (Masnavi 1/1064)

Introduction

The bliss of familiarization with great master Allama Seyed Abul-Hassan Hafezian (RA) has been achieved from approximately one decade before, when I familiarized with dear friend Firoozeh Hafezian, sweet speech poet. Although, I knew the tableau of “Lohe Mahfouz” and sacred names table of Muhhamad (PBUH) as a clear eye, when I was child, I turned the book of “Lohe Mahfouz” some times. I have been pleasured with knowledge of his munificence like patients cure by God’s permission, his belief to some issues and materials powers of God, listening worthy points of his speeches and his behavior in trip and like a thirsty peripatetic I followed these secrets. By imagining his spiritual penance, staying and residency at “Soufi Pour” forests, help and service to that land’s Muslims, building mosque for Shias in Sringer of Kashmir, building holly place on the top of Trial Mountain, discussion with Hindu ascetics, Azan and making spiritual space at pagoda and his faith and belief that have been apparent in these issues and their heroic role have been expressed for me and made me praise.

Research journey to Soufi Pour

Success journey to Kashmir and seeing the delight and pure emotion of Soufi Pour’s inhabitants in the year of 1388 (AH) has expressed their amour, love and cognition and even the pure words of BiBi Khatoun, the only alive old woman contemporary with this great man, was another success for me that increased my delight to study and research about the secrets of Allama Seyed Abul-Hassan Hafezian’s life. During visiting with inhabitants of Delhi and Kashmir I found his position and reputation. Really, his popularity was because of his comprehensive mind including beautiful manner, commitment, Islamic life and other behavioral beauties. The comprehensive reports of this journey and one day conference at the University of Kashmir have been presented. Fortunately, description of this pious man’s life and effects, the owner of Lohe Mahfouz, have been written by his family, friends, students and relationships and will be helpful for us and other people.

Lohe Mahfouz

The valuable effect of Allama Seyed Abul-Hassan hafezian (RA) entitled “Lohe Mahfouz”, is a complex of love, literature, science and art and in his poetic description is gems from secret treasury. After expressing the history of numbers science and Islamic Scientifics trying in order to believe the effective names and doing this according to Islamic rules and practices, he said that, “Because I journeyed to different lands for a long time, studied these sciences and arts, visited great masters, used these rules and dominated on some of them, I thought to provide eulogistic tablet in consistent with the verses of holly Quran so, I named it Lohe Mahfouz and from first to end of this effect I eulogized the universe overlord, Muhammad al-Mustafa (PBUH)[1].

The origin of Lohe Mahfouz’s explanation

The word “Lohe Mahfouz” has been only recited and mentioned for a one time at the end of holly Al- Buruj Chapter (Surah),”Bal Hova Quran-on Majid-on, Fi Lohen Mahfouzen”(Al- Buruj, 21-22) and great interpreters mentioned different fine, theosophical and narrative points of it which will need a comprehensive and remarkable research. Of such a interpreters is Allama Seyed Muhammad Hossein Tabatabaei who has said at the bottom of this holly verse in Almizan, “there are different and many stories about the tablet adjective, we should first know that all of them are as parable meaning that they imagine spiritual issues by material words”[2]. The interpretation of “Lohe Mahfouz” of Quran according to its extensive meaning dimension not only has been used in literary and theosophical texts but also, the powerful poets and authors has known its discussion as a space to emphasize on kindness of God, creation, human and universe destiny, name’s learning, trust, secrets keys, God’s treasuries and so on. Since I am teaching and studying Masnavi Maanavi some days per week as a duty, have decided to interpret and explain the poems of great Molana about “Lohe Mahfouz” and its necessity to recognize myself and preserve God’s trust or in other meaning, “Pray” or “Intellect” or “Love” with the intention of being one of valuable God’s vicars and preservers of Lohe Mahfouz.

He said, ‘The God is aware of secrets.’

Adam was made from earth but still was pure,

And in his frame God placed for all to view

The Tablet’s contents and the spirit too-

Until the end whatever is in store

He taught the names to Adam long before. (Masnavi, 1/2649)

As Maulana has expressed in his prose introductory, he composed this book for interpret the holly Quran and always he emphasized on the kindness of God about human and wants his audiences that reached to the God by self refinement and true thought in a growth, sophistication and prime way. So, he said listen from the cane that until it was at the first and he did not need any mate and comate. But, immediately after separation of his original land, it followed love and tried its best in order to reach its lover. Yes, listen from the cane that although love secrete was not far of its squeal but, it found no either intimate mate or comate. There should be a broken heart or lovelorn that knows this parable tone of Mualana has what within itself and how it can be empty of itself in order to sing the love song in each part of it. There should be an intimate one to know the narrator of Love Hadis and bloody way and know that, he really is lovelorn of this great who has examined people with troth exam. That unique God, not only has illustrated the secret by remarking human as his vicar on the earth by “Ini Aalam Ma La Taalamoon” but also, he respired of reciprocal love by “Yohibbohom va yohibbonaho” in order to know universe that, this is still of magic results and there are people who just think of God and till contemporary age we can see their delight, emotion and spiritual abstinence, like Allama Hafezian (RA). They said, six books of Masnavi have been collected in this “Ney Nameh”; they never say vainglory word that the whole Masnavi is the result of universe delight, movement, celestial trend, be free from the earth, go to heaven and dancing. Overall, all these movements, behaviors and quest to reach the God need God’s kindness and his attention to us in order to want him.

When shunned by love you’re left with emptiness,

A bird without its wings knows such distress (Masnavi, 1/31)

Mualana in “Ney Nameh” with refer to human’s creature believes that, the way to reach the God’s vicar on the earth is a stressful trend and it needs try and self training and it mentioned to this concept by illustrating different stories and his pure substances and even his audiences, within six books of Masnavi.

For God knows this is not a tale to share

But the pure substance of our state––beware! (Masnavi, 1/2900)

The pure substances which have been shown in stories are that, it should not be deceived by our small knowledge and never comprise the great man’s works with ourselves. In another story it studies us to learn by the ancestors adventures. In other stories it inhibits us of ignorance and sequester and by telling other stories it shows us the influences of faith, gentry, knowledge, hope, patience, morality, truth and freedom and named the human moral complex as a love;

When lovers speak love’s scent is smelt on them,

It comes out of their mouths in love’s pure realm; (Masnavi, 1/2880)

Rather, every steps that human walks in the way of God have a mark of love that according to Mualana , continues behavior of lover needs love attention and he cannot fly without it. Mulana mentioned his audience to follow the rules of Quran and thinking in order to fly to spiritual worlds and heaven. He knows valid thought as a prospering device to sophistication degrees, the thought that is the God’s kindness for human;

Knock on reality’s inviting door,

Let thought take wing, like falcons you will soar! (Masnavi, 1/2870)

So, according this and by help of Quran’s verses, it illustrated the sophistication way and remarked humans, their substances reality with this mention that they are the mirror of God and they should be free of oblivion and animal’s tempers not only to accept the light of God but also, reflex God’s glory with self refinement by this rule that, “Simahom Fi Vojoohihim Men Asar Al-Sojood”.

Don’t you know why we can’t perceive it here?

Your mirror’s face is rusty––scrape it clear! (Masnavi, 1/34)

Maulana who believes that this holly verse “Va Al-Lazina Jahadoo Fina Le-Nahdiayannahom Sobolana” is a right and true and wanted the others reach this grace and said his audience that, if you try in right way, you will be advantaged of his kindness; if you devote his gifts, he give you better ones. Achieving this vision and observing secrets are related to behavior and purity levels of each peripatetic.

Give bread for God’s sake, more will come to you,

Give up your soul; receive a soul that’s new:

When leaves fall off the tree, then God will give

The leafless tree what it should need to live; (Masnavi, 1/2237)

Imam Ali (AS) said about sincerity that, “Ghad Akhlasa Le-Llahe Fastakhlasah”, God rise sincerity levels of a man who could be successful in self making and sincere God. Related to this topic, the great master Allama Muhammad Taqi Jafari said, “The substantial grace of God prepares everything and every ways for mentioned goals by humans and everyone is advantaged the grace of God, related to his/her knowledge and power”[3]. Mualana talked about the munificence of saints like Abouyazid, who has noticed the arrival of Abolhassan Kharghani to this world, on the permission of God. Then, he talks about knowledge and awareness of some people and their immunity of wrong in their words and narrating news by this term that, “Muhammad (PBUH) said, Inni Le-Ajed Nafasa Al-Rahmane Men Ghable Al-Yomn”.

Preserved Tablet is his leader;

From what is he preserved? From sin and wrong

God’s oracle is not astrology, Raml or imagine;

God is aware of grace

Oracle, for hiding from public,

Sufis believed it as a sprit oracle

Its desirable oracle that is his appearance;

How can be wrong while the heart is aware of it

O’ faithful men, you see the God’s light;

You was saved and secured of wrong and error (Masnavi, 4/1854)

This Bit (a piece of poem) has been remembered by Dr. Seyed jafar Shahidi after a brief description about oracle, heart oracle and Sufi’s phrase;

If faithful men do not see by God’s light

Then why is the unseen within their sight? (Masnavi, 1/1331)

Then, he resulted from the story related to Muhammad (PBUH) about Oveis that, since saints dominates on people’s mind so, they can call from future[4]. According to this description, what he narrates about the munificence of Hafezian (RA) means that he was obligated to regard rites and rational traditions in his legal penance. This word of Seyed Jafar Shahidi remarked some Bits of the story of merchant and parrot which Mualana not only has avoided audiences of unconsidered word but also, in order to hope and show the saints location and their power to hand issues said,

The saints have gained from God such awesome might

That they can pull back arrows in mid-flight

By grace he makes unsaid what has been said

So no harm comes to anybody’s head, (Masnavi, 1/1671)

It has been cited in the brief description at the bottom of these Bits of Masnavi Manavi written by Muhammad Ramazani, “Bodies of great ascetics of prophets and saints have been tendered to abstinence and focus on virtue that the heaven work and their heaven do their bodies work”[5]. The great master, Bdyalzman Forouzanfar, said about the munificence which is appeared from possession power of saints, “Justification of this effect occurred by two these ways. First, theosophist in the way of reaching God and doom of himself can do everything by power of God. So, work is God’s work and theosophist is just the place of its expression. Second, creatures are located in each rank named “Hazarat Khams” and they have the existence proportionate to that rank, Hazarat. Sufi said, whenever either this creator power become completely potential or couple and join to infinite power of God related to doom of humanities properties, then the sophisticated human can possess the out of this world”[6]. Mulana relates having power of God to Hsamaldyn, mentions to possession influence of Shams, at the beginning of third book, and said, all angles are helped by God and not only they walk with foot of God but also, they do their works with hands of God.

Your power is originated from the power of God;

It doesn’t originated of warm vessels

This sun light that is bright,

Is not from wick, oil and cotton

Also, the power of God’s men is originated of right,

It doesn’t come from nourishment and dish

Their body have been shaped of light;

And they abandon of spirit and angel (Masnavi, 3/8)

Mulana in order to declare Lohe Mahfoz, talks about wisdom that far from practical wisdom and is a gift from God. Its fountain is within the ghost and mentioned to it in the other place;

Seek wisdom, and then you’ll become its source,

Needless, safe from what drives men from their course; (Masnavi, 1/1063)

Here, Maulana names a man who learn his knowledge from either his master and or having practical wisdom and who have the super wisdom gift from God, “Lohe Hafez” and “Lohe Mahfouz”, respectively;

Wisdom is two types;

The first one is acquisitive wisdom that you learnt in school

You learnt it from the master, book and thought;

From definitions and good sciences

Your wisdom be dominant to others,

You be eminence of its preservation

Although you are a preserver tablet,

The preserved tablet is someone who renounced it

The other wisdom is a grace of God;

Its fountain is within the spirit (Masnavi, 4/1963)

He knows the acceptance this gift from God and reach to level of lohe Mahfouz as an eating light morsels;

If you eat just one time of light’s dish,

Then you leave bread and oven (Masnavi, 4/1958)

In the fifth book, he wants the God grants him saints level after mentioning some Bits about this subject that, the light is ghost’s nourishment. Then, he explains his opinion under the title of Lohe Mahfouz and wisdom perception of anybody from this tablet which is related to his daily portion like Gabriel (AS) that, humans are trying to find reality and truth and everyone goes around. Wisdom also thinks about Lohe Mahfouz and observing hidden truth;

You write some words of numbers;

And stones became like a wax of its love

He learnt daily lessons every morning;

Like an angle from that’s preserved tablet of wisdom

Because they have hided the spirit’s Qibla,

So they faced to anywhere (Masnavi, 5/328)

Lohe Mahfouz is protected from change and alternation and it has been said, it is Omo –Alketab, mother of books. It means that, everything from past to future are in it[7]. It is a white pearl and its length is between the earth and sky and its width is from the east to west[8] and sages know it as an active wisdom. Majlesi narrated from Sheikh Mofid, “When God wants to aware angles from secrets or send them to prophets, said them to look at the Lohe Mahfouz in order to learn of it”[9]. Although, the first wisdom has been interpreted as a great tablet but, this Bit great tablet is the other interpretation of Lohe Mahfouz and in other place it has been cited as a total tablet;

Because of your selection by God,

He learnt you whole science of tablet

Until you became the teacher of angles;

And you can speak with God, permanently (Masnavi, 5/1563-4)[10]

Mualana in the sixth book has cited Lohe Mahfouz in the meaning of existence secrete and hidden truth and said everyone cannot perceive it. Therefore, he advised companionship with ghost friends. He said, if you seek the companionship with great and wisdom friends and participation with unique God makes you be aware of secrets;

Speaking with God from spirit is a sign of friendship;

Otherwise, it is a sign of non-kindness

The spirit who see the mistress, never be sad;

Nightingale that saw flower, cannot be quiet

When the man sat with God;

He has been aware of hundreds of secrets

The God’s frontal is “Lohe Mahfouz”

It expresses the secret of both worlds

Since the man became the symbol of oracle;

The God learnt him his names (Masnavi, 6/2664)

Related to this Bits interpretation, the great master, Dr. Seyed Jafar Shahidi mentioned to a fine point and said, “A friend who have God gift makes you be aware of secrets and inhibits you of threats”[11]. Because we celebrates Allama Hafezian related to his numerous munificence according to spiritual mathematic, great pious theosophist and the author of valuable effects like “Lohe Mahfouz” and “Jannato Al-Asma”, remembrance of Mualana Jalal Al-Din opinions follows me to mention some points from Manavi Maanavi in order to declare these two great theosophists after some centuries. It should be mentioned that, the prayers of cured patients by Allama Hafezian (RA) makes us to express the real situations of God medicos who wants patients to pray them for curing, by the words of Mualana. Emphasizing on confidence to the words of Allama Hakimi and Hafezian’s friends about his power and the influence of his regard to others, knowledge of his position in Soufi Pour, listening to pure words of his statues real witnesses and their try to recourse him, add my believe and duplicates my effort in this way. Maulana has said about God medicos as follow,

These God men are from the other nature;

They can see inside of your spirit through the pulse

We can see your spirit without mediator;

Because of intelligence

We don’t need any wage,

Since the God give our wage

If you see the God men’s spirit and compare with yourself,

Then you will be shamed

If you obey these God men,

You will be full of odor and good smell (Masnavi, 3/2700)

At the end, I declare sincerely and hold all holly prophets and saints in the greatest respect that, I was not brave enough to enter this subject and I just request God to write this article by helping holly self of munificence owners and in order to express my opinion about virtual scientist and the owner of Lohe Mahfouz, Allama Hafezian (RA).

For so much guidance You’ve bestowed on us

It hides our flaws and utter wretchedness!

The drop of knowledge which You gave before

Unite now with your ocean, please, once more! (Masnavi, 1/1882)
